It looks like 2020 will be the year K-Pop goes mainstream with the movie Seoul Girls and a certain Australian actress might become an official Unnie.
According to SBS Australia and MTV, Rebel Wilson will be producing a Hollywood K-Pop movie.
As SBS notes, "The film, currently titled Seoul Girls, is written by Wilson with a recent revision done by screenwriter Young Il Kim. According to Deadline, the film has been picked up by Lionsgate and is in the works.
"Seoul Girls will be based around a Korean-American high-school girl and her friends as they enter a global talent competition to become the opening act for a famous K-pop boy group. The girls get help from a former British girl group member and ex-K-pop trainee to achieve their dreams."
That former British member might be Wilson herself, so it will be interesting to see if the younger girls start calling her Unnie.
